Hey everyone,
Here's a quick update from me... Currently I'm with my mummy (bontkwagga) again for a few days, due to some unexpected reasons. When I arrived home I told everyone here all the stories of my adventures so far, you should have seen their faces: they're so impressed!
The first thing I did after coming back here is taking a hot bath... oh my, that was nice.
After taking a bath I took a looooooooong night rest as I was so tired. I slept more then 24 hours, that's when Lindy woke me up to get some dinner! After dinner I met her newborn kitties... wow, did I had fun or not! The kittens are so sweet and interested to me. Lindy told me that they will leave her next week and that I am right on time to meet them, and I am very happy about that.

Hello Mum!
Here are some more photos of me in Austria. I'm really having an exciting time here... but somehow I wish you were there to share all these nice things with me ;)
We did some more sightseeing during the past days. So for example we visited Schönbrunn Palace with its large park which was the former summer residence of the Habsburg family. We walked around there alot, even went up the little hill to "Gloriette" from where we had a wonderful view over the city. The only thing we had to skip was the zoo because it was already too late for it.
We also visited the house created by Hundertwasser. Isn't it beautiful? I would really love to live inside!! My host told me that there is nothing special inside, just normal flats. And all the people who live there have the right to create the surroundings of their windows just as they like - but only as far as they can reach with their arms. Interesting, isn't it?
One day our host took us toyvoyagers to Vienna's amusementpark Prater. Wow, we really had a good time there! We went by the famous "Big Wheel" which also offered us a wide view over the city. Béstik and Archibald, the 2 crazy guys among us also tried some rollercoasters but Mini Meow and I rather stayed outside. But we had great fun to watch all these funny sculptures we found everywhere in the park.
The weather became much colder than at the beginning of my stay here so we also spent some time at home. I even learnt how to cook Austrian dishes! Our host showed us how to make Knödel. You know, Austrian people always eat Knödel - and there are many different kinds of them: Knödel made of potatoes or curd cheese or rolls, Knödel filled with apricots, plumbs, strawberries, or with meet and saussages - yummy! We made Knödel with peaches since my hosts have sooo many of them in their garden. And they were really, really delicious. On the weekend we did a trip to Burgenland which is the very eastern part of Austria. We visited lake Neusiedlersee there which is really beautiful. There are many different kinds of animals living there, mainly birds but also frogs and white donkeys and storks come there for summer. At the moment all the grapes are ready to be picked up and we made a loooong walk through the wineyards. How beautiful! We tried some grapes and we would also have like to get a glass of wine - but our host didn't consider this to be a good idea...
Today a new toyvoyager arrived here, Eireannach, a funny pig from Russia who would like to be an Irish pig. So we already had a kind of "Welcome-party" today.
Mini Meow really became a friend during our common time here in Austria so we decided to leave Vienna the same day. Although we have different destinations now we really hope to meet again one day- can you maybe arrange that for me?
I'm very excited to continue my journey and to see what will expect me with my next host. I'm going to pack my stuff this afternoon, my host will finish her entry in my book and then I'll leave tomorrow.
Greetings and hugs from Vienna,
Mila

Hello Mum!
As you already know I savely arrived in Vienna. I've been here for a couple of days now and so far I really had a great time. I had a very warm welcome form Archibald, a very colourful French monkey and of course from my host family, Mum, Dad and 3 little boys. On Thursday, Mini Meow, a cute little cat from Finland arrived here (we understand very well and it's great to have somebody here who understands me also without talking) and on Friday Bestik, a funny guy from Czechia joined us, so we are a funny group of 4 really different but all very curious voyagers.
On Friday our host took us to the city centre to show us Vienna's most beautiful sights. Wow, I was really impressed!
We got off the tram at the museum station and had a look at the Museum for nature first. The Museum for historical arts is just opposite and the building looks excactly the same - strange, hm? We had great fun to play hide and seek in the little park with the ball-shaped bushes!
We countinued our walk to the parliament and on to the City Hall where the open air opera festival takes place at the moment. There were tons of delicous things to eat but since we just had breakfast we didn't try anything there. We saw a special "clock" there counting the days until the European soccer Championship next year will start. It will take place in Austria and Switzerland and it seems that the people are already excited about that. Opposite the City Hall there is the Old Imperial Theatre, a very beautiful building. If they ever need a cat for a play - I gonna apply for that ;)
Then we visited the Rosarium. How nice to see all these colourful roses. We were told that we missed the best time to see all of them but it was nice nevertheless. And the smell...
We passed by Hofburg which was the former residence of the Habsburg family. Nowadays it hosts the national library, some museums, the Spanish riding school, the President's office,... How funny to see all these horses with their cabages everywhere in the city. Our host told us that they are called "Fiaker". While they were really used by the people a long time ago they are only a tourist attraction nowadays.
Then we reached St. Stephen's Cathedral which is in the very centre of Vienna we were talled. What a colourful roof! It was pretty dark inside but I guess there were some mice around there. We walked down "Kärntner Straße" which is one of Vienna's most expensive shopping streets we were told, until we reached the Opera. Then we went on to Karlskirche where we had a rest at the playground just in front of it before we continued our walk to visit a very special thing:
"Sand in the City". There were huge sculptures just made from sand - very impressing! They are only shown for a few weeks so we were really lucky to go there! Mini Meow and I wanted to run around there but it was forbidden in order not to destroy anything.

Well, these were the first adventures here in Austria. During the weekend we went a bit out of Vienna to search for mushrooms. We found some really good ones (and a mouse for Mini and me, too ;) ) but unfortunately we forgot to take the camera with us. But there will be some more photos soon.
